The 39 Steps
My 8th grade class has been studying Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film, The 39 Steps. During our Saturday class, I submit three questions for their consideration.
1. Is the title character, Richard Hannay a hero? Give evidence to support this conclusion.
2. Is a misunderstanding or confusion a theme of this film and how does it play into the story line.
3. Your opinion: This film is over 70 years old. Why is it relevant today? If you had to nominate it for an award, what would that award be?
